Diagram is a performance drawing, expressing the very nature of creative collaboration through both movement and mark-making. Using graphite powder and charcoal, the large white floor becomes a record of both systematic and chaotic physical interactions. Through a summer of collaboration with choreographer/dancer Kelly Radermacher, the work was developed and performed for Art to Art 2012, a DanceLAB production at Danceworks, Inc. in Milwaukee.
