Leah Schreiber Johnson is an interdisciplinary artist and educator with a diverse studio practice. She has received multiple awards and honors including a Marshall Frankel Foundation Fellowship and a Mary L. Nohl Suitcase Export Award. She also received a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce to launch ArtMovz, LLC, a mobile art workshop provider in Southeastern Wisconsin. 

Schreiber has participated as Artist-in-Residence at Vermont Studio Center, The Contemporary Artist Center in North Adams, Massachusetts, the American Geographical Society Library in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and at Starry Night Retreat in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. She has exhibited her work and lectured nationally and internationally, with recent solo exhibitions at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, Peoria Arts Guild in Illinois, The Foundry Art Centre in Missouri and Berea College in Kentucky. 

Schreiber has taught at Lillstreet Art Center and at the Marwen Foundation in Chicago, at the Sharon Lynn Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, Wisconsin, at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin and at the Hubei University of Technology in Wuhan, China. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art from Illinois State University, and her Master of Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she currently teaches full-time as a Lecturer in the Department of Art and Design at the Peck School of the Arts.
